@scorpionman1990 : She was born to music connected family, her father managed her and then it was Jay-Z. She is where she is thanks to the men who took care of her career. All she ever had to do was to get on stage, I don’t think she ever treated the business part, and she’s not in control as she would like us to believe so her constant feminist bullshit is just marketing. As for the sex thing, no, she can shake her ass, but she doesn’t exude sex like Madonna or C. Aguilera. I don’t buy it.

@scorpionman1990 : so, you know, we got it, she wants to be seen as an in-control, powerful and sex-driven female, but that’s where I don’t buy it. That’s what Madonna is, but it’s not Beyonce’s identity, she uses it because it sells. Beyonce didn’t get where she is by herself starting from scratch in the streets of NY like Madonna.

@scorpionman1990 : Sex and female empowerment are 2 subjects that sell. Teen girls love it and that’s what it’s all about. The music industry knows it since Madonna, and they just keep the formula. Beyonce got really predictable, and that’s boring. I loved her when she came up with Crazy in love, but now when there’s a new video of her, I know I’m gonna see her humiliate some poor guy, acting all bossy or shake her ass for 3 minutes.

@scorpionman1990 and Luckey2007: really nice to exchange thoughts with people like you : no insults, no smart-ass answers… I love u guys
). Actually, I listen to her sometimes, but to me she really lacks depth. Basically, she has been singing about 2 subjects for 8 years: sex (crazy in love, ring the alarm, naughty girl, baby boy and many more…) and female empowerment (listen, single ladies, irreplacable, If i were a boy…).

@louloutre you have some points to your theory, I will say that! Michael and TIna have BOTH went through some things in life.

@louloutre: 1st of all, i disagree with you. you say, beyoncé just wants to be a star, breaking records, and other stuff like that. well, if you really listen to her music, you may hearout, that there’s something in her voice, but you cannot compare her with tina turner. the same for MJ and justin. he got his own way to performe music, but MJ is still the king of pop, because – there you’re right – he’s telling a story!

@Luckey2007 : the other thing, and I know it’s not a proof, but most of the time, when I watch an artist performing, I can see if he’s been through some struggle, if there is pain inside of him. It took me a long time to realize it because we know music through MTV and MTV is about glitter and money, not about art. Still, take an example, look at the difference between Justin and Michael Jackson. When MJ performs, he’s pouring his heart out, he’s telling a story… Justin just wants to be cool.

@Luckey2007: I disagree; It’s enough to listen to an interview from her to realize she’s not stupid but not especially intelligent either. IMO she’s a bad actress because she never went through any kind of real pain and because she’s too self-conscious. I’m not saying she’s not entertaining, but I don’t feel she’s on stage because there is something burning she needs to get out, I think she just wants to be a star , breaking records, and getting grammies… I think it’s mostly an ego thing.

@louloutre You say all of this without knowing any of them. You don’t know Beyonce or what kind of struggles she may face and how it transcends into her music. Beyonce and Tina are from two different times but it’s clear where Beyonce got her inspirations from. But furthermore you can’t measure someone’s struggle if you don’t even know them personally.

@UrMajesty1992 : that’s how people evaluate a performance nowadays? She hits the notes, she doesn’t miss a foodstep, she looks good so it’s a good performance. It takes more than just that. I can’t feel the soul when Beyonce performs. And u know why? because she doesn’t care about the meaning of the song. She never washed plates (or sthg similar) to earn a living, neither did she have to escape reality with music like Tina… that’s the difference between them.

@superplayer444 I meant the original from Ike And Tina Turner. I know CCR did this song, but I liked Ike & Tina’s version better. It’s a great song to dance to. Sorry I didn’t make myself clearer! Peace!
