I never bought his crap before and I certainly am not buying it now! I do think what Kanye did was both racist and sexist. He would NEVER have done this to a man or a black artist. Period. He sucks. I say boycott his @$$ and make an example of him. I would not tolerate this kind of behavior from a friend, so why should I buy his music?

No. After all, The Beatles weathered their “we’re more popular than Christ” remark in 1966. They may stop buying his product when they become discerning enough to realize he’s not talented, but a figment of a recording studio.

It was racist. He deliberately MARGINALIZED a young, 17 year white performer’s contribution by grabbing the effing mike and referring to Beyoncé Knowles, who, frankly folks, is no Lena Horne in looks, Ruby Dee in acting, or Aretha Franklin in singing. She’s quickly becoming the Black world’s Jessica Simpson via overexposure.

I propose that Kanye West be made the personification of everything wrong with the modern African American male: entitled, no boundaries, inversely racist, and contemptuous for genres like Country and Western, because it isn’t hip/hop, yet another manifestation of popular American entertainment that makes one ashamed to be an American citizen as much as our questionable wars and national policies.

I say crucify him. If that had been a white man doing that to a black award acceptor, there would have been a riot.

I don’t think the issue is racism. He managed to offend everyone. Not just women but men as well. I don’t think an official boycott is necessary. He pissed off his peers, some seriously influential people. He’s done.
