George always felt best when he could be amongst his friend.. to talk , to help, to play.. it was a very great man.

Not forgetting Mr Jeff Beck coming in around 1min 40! Then there’s LIoel Ritchie in there too. This looks like the most outrageous fun ever. Anyone know where it was and when?

What in the hell is Paul Shafer doing trying to “conduct” those musicians…Paul you are “WAY OUT CLASSED”…Stay with Dave and let the real musicians do their thing…

mick jagger proves one thing. you don’t have to be talented to make it in the rock and roll!!

Those big superstar jams of the 80s were usually really disappointing. It was cool to see all the stars together on one stage, but they just didn’t mesh together well at all. To be fair, this was just an impromptu, unrehearsed jam at the end of the R’n'R Hall Of Fame awards. Only Jeff Beck’s little guitar solo in the middle was of passing interest.

@TheRandomfanboy If young John Lennon would be there then he would probably get drunk and beat up the DJ… AGAIN! xD

I believe this is the very first Rock n Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 1986. It was in the midst of a fight between Paul McCartney and the rest of the Beatles trust and legal stuff, which is why he was absent while Ringo and George were there. This show also shows how rather disorganized the Hall of Fame shows were the first couple of years. Which is a shame because that’s when all the original giants of Rock n Roll were inducted (Elvis, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc.)
