Okay some people believe that kanye and T-Pain used a vocoder. Then some people believe they use an auto-tune pitcher.

There's a plug-in called GSnap. You can use it to simulate the T-painish-Kanyeish sound you here in their songs. The one program I know you can use this plug-in, is FL Studios (aka) fruity loops ... There might be other programs you can use it in ....

Here's the site, where you can download the GSnap program for free
http://www.gvst.co.uk/gsnap.htm ...

And here's a youtube video explaining some settings to try in FL (fruity loops) to make it sound like T-Pain. I'm sure if you messed with the settings you could make them sound more like knaye, or maybe you can find your own settings
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEk4MMS0ZBQ

Oh here's another video ... when I went to get the link to the video ^ above I saw this and decided to click it, it's very informative. Hope all this helps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BWEpEvixME ...

Oh and another way to get some sounds like T-pianish/daft punkish ... is using a talk box ... you can buy one or make one homemade. I heard you can make them pretty easily and cheaply.

Hello,
The piece of equipment that's used to get your voice to sound like that is called Auto Tune. I'm not sure where you can find it, but i'm sure you can go into a store that sells music equipment you should be able to find it. Good Luck.
