Lil Wayne’s version was better but Wayne was trying to outshine Jay lyrical while Jay was not trying to make a lyrical track all he wanted was to make a party/club/radio hit which he succeeded in doing.

Definitely Jay Z’s best tune for me, the drumming and the overall beat is amazing on this track.

LOL. I just realized Lil Wayen copied Jay’Z’s lyrics but had words that sound like it o.09 but Lil Wayne’s version is better

its called sampling now stealing. every rap artist do it and most of them pull it off well like jay z did in this samplin from Johnny Pate “Shaft in Africa”

did you know it’s called “sampling” and every single hip hop artist samples shit from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, whatever, and most do it very well.
