@allwrongalmost true if hes is actually feeling it, which he probably is to some degree
but even john has a funky blues style in almost all of his songs, and this album is almost completely void of it. either this is a melancholy self analysis by john mayer purposely lacking in instrumental poise or a CD to make money, and seeing how rally 90 percent of recent mainstream artists are producing bullshit pop songs for cash, unforturnately i think john is doing the same, still fav artist though

I do love RFS because I was so pure but I just love the whole Heavier Things Album. It’s like every song on it was so much deeper than the lyrics ya know. Made ya think about your own life. I could see why he thinks Continuum was the best though. Every song was so unique and he could jam out to it. Lol.

Even John says Continuum was his best…although its rather arbitrary to group songs into the order in which they came out. I love RFS, and Clarity is worth $1,000,000 to me. Continuum is near perfect and Battle Studies is his “free answer,” like on Millionaire: he can only drop back to Continuum.

@ egab74 i would argue it was pretty close, Continuum being his only album that may be better, but it’s between Continuum and Battle Studies as his best album for me.
