This is a great example of Kanye West eclectic genius. At his best he is evolved, fascinating, vulnerable, and vain; and this DVD captures his best. No other rapper could have pulled off such a feat- exceptions being Jay-Z in his prime ie MTV Unplugged or one of the Ryhmesayers and maybe Dr. Dre and Snoop right after Chronic 2001 dropped even though it never happened(sorry about the tangent); playing in front of a small crowd accompanied by strings and his dj. West remains one of the best and by far the most entertaining and interesting thing in pop music. The other reveiwer probably hasn’t even seen the DVD. What do Canadians know a-boooot hip-hop anyhow?
