Michael Jackson – Oxford Speech 2001 (part 4/4) w/ full text
Heal the Kids, Part 4 of 4. Beautiful and important speech by Michael Jackson to Oxford Union (Oxford University, UK) in 2001. Full text included in video. Michael was a kind and gentle person, intelligent and funny, warm and loving. And a true humanitarian. Here he pleads for us all to reconnect with our families, to forgive, to end the violence in schools and heal the hearts of the children, including our own inner child. He talks about his own childhood and the difficulties he faced in the relationship with his father. I wish everyone would listen to this. We miss you, Michael. I love you forever. This version of the audio is at a corrected speed/pitch instead of the too fast Mickey Mouse-sounding one. PS This was originally uploaded in early June 2009 under my old account. Michael, you are talking the truth. You are so right. This is, what people should hear. Thank you for being such a wonderful and loving human. You thought us to love and forgive and to heal the world. The change starts with ourselves. I thank you so much and I love you from the bottom of my heart. I really do. Love ?

i would like to apologize to Michael and his family for believing some of the negative things that was said about him.i hope i had the chance to know him better when he was alive.
all that was presented to me was him being an entertainer, a GREAT entertainer. but his image was tarnished by all the negative press on him. i’M SORRY. I hope u can forgive me..

@SerenityFair Michael could have very well been a saint. I mean lets face it he as all the qualities that make him one, he love God, he spent his whole life doing good for those less fortunate, and he suffered tremendously and never lost his faith in the process.

@SerenityFair i totally agree, but you know…. to some he was a dad, to some he was a friend to some an icon and to some more than eveything in the world, and because of his death, it feels like he really was a ”God”, but he wasn’t. i love him very much, and if you in any way got ” hurt” I am deeply sorry for it, i would never hurt an MJ-fan or any human in the world. hope you’ll undeerstand! @SerenityFair Listen, i do agree with you, i know that he wouldn’t be referred as a ”GOD”, and i might not do it, i know that he only was a human and tht he only was a person just like everybody else, with a heart, and feelings. I got kind’a carried away by saying that he was a ”God”, because i lopve him so much, and he means everything to me. i only said it because sometimes i feel that he was. be cause he was so good to everyone.

@TheBiggestMJFan1 I don’t think Michael would want to be referred to as a “God”…he may have been an angel in disguise and doing Gods work but calling him a God would be worshipping a false idol which is against his spiritual beliefs. I love Michael,always have,always will and he was beyond special,just not a God.

I swear,every new thing I learn about this man,I love him more and I didn’t even think that to be possible….I knew he was gifted,intelligent,smart and one of the most loving people ever but it is true,noone wants to hear about the good things,that doesn’t sell…he said that himself and it is a shame because this world should have been exposed to this speech…it should have been news all over this country. If I had known this man on a personal level,I would have been hopelessly in love.

i know that he’s watching ovver me and protecting me. and all his fans arounf the world. just keep on doing what he taught us to do. heal the world, stay together. love each other, before it is too late. take care of each ohter, and do what he said on this video. forgiveness and love is the key to happines. spread his message. keep on michaeling. and remember him for the amazing person he really was and is. love him. put him in you hearts! do that i you all will be blessed.

i will always love him so much. it breaks my heart to know that he’s gone. all i wanted was to meet him and give him a big hug, and kiss him, and tell him how much i love him. and tell him taht i care about him, that i support him, that i respect him and that i adore him and everything about him. sadly my heart is broken cause i never got the chance to do this. but at least i know that hes in abetter place than he was at. In heaven! May he reast in peace forever.

There is so much more to say about him, and i can’t find a beautiful word enough to express my feeling about him. I just love him so mcuh, even though i didn’t got the chance to meet him, i feel that i have been knowing him for a thousand years. i feel that he’s my father. my angel. My strenght that keeps me up, the strenght that makes me fight for who i am and my rights. i just love him so much, and he will always be in my heart! forever! i will always remember him.

He was a person, but not only a person, He was an angel send from heaven above. He was a God. He was the one who wanted to heal the world, he was the one who saved children all around the world, he was the one who wanted to stop war and hunger around the world. he was the one who loved the planet, the animals, the people, the nature. he was the one who made people keep the faith.he was the one who really wanted to change the world. He was the one who wanted people to be the same worth.

Oh my God, i loved all those parts of this video. Everything that Michael said here is so true. He was a human with feelings and a heart. He was a human with a big heart and a beautiful soul and spirit. He was a wonderful, amazing, beautiful, lovely, caring, sweet, pure,honest, generous, sympathetic, highly entellegent, sensitiv to peoples pain, and the kindest person in the world. to some he might be just a popstar, but to others he is a God. He is so much more than just Michael Jackson.

Geez, 2001 was a great year for Michael. This speech, his induction into The Rock n’ Rock Hall of Fame, 30th Anniversary Special, ‘INVINCIBLE’(despite what ppl, say IT WAS a Success, maybe not ‘Thriller’, but 2mil copies in U.S. in TWO months, that incredible), What More Can I Give Concert. It seemed Michael had so much more to in store for the new millennium. But then the Sony dispute and the Bashir came along and things fell apart well, it was slow & painful demise. So Sad

Wow Michael Jackson’s lecture had a real impact on me. I knew this man was very intelligent and talented,but he was so forgiving to others that had hurt him over and over and over. His childhood was bad as the same as mine.To be able to forgive his father then I have to forgive my parents. Thank you Mr. Jackson for such a inspirational lecture that truly has opened my eyes and heart to the needs of children,our future. We have to fight for their innocence and love.
