Muse – Eternally Missed (Rare B-side)

Posted by Top Songs

Eternally Missed is a B-side by Muse that shipped with the Hysteria Single. It was often nick-named the ‘Rusty One’, As the band never had much practice playing it. It has only ever been played live once, on Sziget Island in Budapest, Hungary on 6th August 2002. Lyrics: Chase your dreams away Glass needles in the hay The sun forgives the clouds You are my holy shroud I just don’t care if it’s real That won’t change how it feels I just don’t care if it’s real That won’t change how it feels No it doesn’t change And you can’t resist Making me feel eternally missed And you can’t resist And you can’t resist Making me feel Chase your dreams away Glass needles in the hay The sun forgives the clouds You are my holy shroud And I just don’t care if it’s real That won’t change how it feels I just don’t care if it’s real That won’t change how it feels No it doesn’t change And you can’t resist Making me feel eternally missed You can’t resist You can’t resist Making me feel You can’t resist Making me feel eternally missed You can’t resist You can’t resist Making me feel You can’t resist Making me feel eternally missed And you can’t resist And you can’t resist Making me feel Chase your dreams away Glass needles in the hay The sun forgives the clouds You are my holy shroud Enjoy!

@19laceymarie96 Simple fact is, as with Futurism, its just too hard to perform live. Shame..

@jkcheese Forget what i said about it being a silly drum beat! It’s addicting! 0.0

Why would this be a b-side? Why? This song is gorgeous!

That riff sounds like the first part of Hysteria solo.

The chorus is very good, the drum beat at the begenning is kind of silly, but it still sounds good after that, great song. :)

@RemoveTheTruck
Perfect explanation of MUSE & their resplendent body of work! Yeah, I just used the word “resplendent” :D It fits,kk?
Also, the way RemoveTheTruck states “I feel sorry for those who have never experienced this.” I feel that way too about both MUSE & Sigur Rós – they both have RESPLENDENT :) beautiful ambrosial music! Music that forces you to use the thesaurus to attempt to describe their otherworldly sounds :*D

My favourite Muse song. It has everything you could ever want from a song, the guitar, the slow side to it and of course the three most talented guys ever :) They need to play more B-sides at gigs. I have 117 songs by them now…not entirely sure if that’s them all but it’s definitely somewhere close I’m guessing :p
