i know this is song is meant for parents but it reminds me of this dude that i used to be awesome friends with. i used to look up to him, i thought he was awesome and that he was the best person on the planet then he turned into a jerk. he acts like hes cool and that he doesnt need anyone for anything. this is for you pilo :l

i can totally relate to this song. let’s just say that my dad’s said some hurtful things to me too. he’s called me names like slut and whore and talked about how I wouldn’t amount to anything in life. But now I’m a straight A student with dreams of becoming a lawyer all just to prove him wrong. I listen to this song when those words start to get to me.

simple plan is a great band! their lyrics are amzing because they are relatable.
my father said some hurtful things kinda about me a few years back so i really relate to the part where this song says “Nothing’s gonna change the things that you said Nothing’s gonna make this right again Please don’t turn your back I can’t believe it’s hard Just to talk to you But you don’t understand”

wow. these are the words? i had a way different idea in the chorus. same music but after the ‘i cant be perfect’ i thought it say ‘ never lost it all, never felt so bad. im sorry i cant be perfect’ i think it sounds good either way.

I’ve read a lot of these comments and they are all so sad
this is why people like Simple Plan, my sister says they’re just a bunch of whiners…. but i think that those whiners rock they changed my life forever! 
i hope every one who likes Simple Plan understands the words and how they feel. i hope all of you understand and i hope that life gets better for every one that understands and commented their stories
