If this scale was backwards this song would rate an easy 20
for the most disgusting thing EVER commited to audio! Why?
Reason Number 1#Grunge covered the rest of modern rock
like a blanket and almost all rock music in 2004 is
actually grunge very thinly disguised.
Reason Number 2#The song isn’t among Nirvana’s best
and is poorly written, poorly produced and ABYSMALY sung!
Reason Number 3#While boy bands and kiddie pop needed a
break in 1991 lousy punk wasn’t the way to do it.
Reason Number 4#The bands overall message of cynicism
resulted in a whole generation of disaffected youth and
let’s not forget Kurt Cobain’s suiside, the Kip Kinckle
murders oh,and Columbine;all fallout from the world this
music helped to create.
Reason Number 5#The most ridiculous music video of all
time!Oh,and the song is better heard covered by jazz
artists.
And there you have it-my opinion on the downward spiral of

popular music as of this historically destructive song!

If this is not THE most over rated CD ever, then it is certainly a contender for the title. If it wasn’t for Cobain’s suicide, no one would care about Nirvana today. But, just like Jim Morrison has kept the Doors on the “cult following” list, Cobain’s death will keep everyone wanna-be emo child wistful of shooting themselves.

As for the music, I could only say that shooting yourself doesn’t make someone a “great writer” or a “great musician” and Nirvana proves this though and though. On this particular CD, Cobain mumbles his way though at least 1/3 of the lyrics while making absolutely no sense during the other 2/3 that are intelligible. In one particular song he outright lies when he sings the lyrics “no, I don’t have a gun”…and I think we all know now that he in fact did have a gun.

Teen Spirit is awesome, but the rest of the songs on here are horribble. Not even worth your money. Even In Her Youth is sloppy and unprofessional. It’s not poppy like Teen Spirit ether. I didn’t spend however much this cost everybody else to hear two out of three songs that are crappy. Kurdt, your legacy lives on in fans like me who wished you could have pushed yourself to the max and done more professial recordings like the jaw-gapingly brilliant Nevermind.

Rest In Peace, Kurdt D. Koibayne (+_+)

In my opinion, this is the best Nirvana song. If you like it, you should buy it. But it’s almost the same price to buy Nevermind, so you might want to grab that too. To sum it up, this is a great CD, so buy it if you like any other of Nirvana’s work.

Well… some people think that buying singles is pointless… I mean, why spend 6 bucks in one song when you can get the whole CD for 12?? Is not logic, right?. Anyways… I’ve always thought this, until I realized that singles are valuable collectibles that will always have an added value. Er… anyway, it’s not my duty to do an advertising campaign saying “got singles?”.
OK… yeah… the Smells Like Teen Spirit single. Well, it includes the world-famous “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, which is indeed a very good song. You all know about it. “Even In His Youth”… another very good song. “Aneurysm”… well… this is not the same Aneurysm from Incesticide. And it’s good, of course.
So well… anyway… only hard-core fans buy singles. So, if you are a hard-core Nirvana fan like I am, adding this and the other singles to your collection is a good thing to do. If you are just the normal listener, well, stick to the CDs… I guess. If you have more money than Bill Gattes well, who cares, spend your money on the singles.
