I’ve studied music theory extensively and I play four very different instruments with great proficiency, however, I’m not going to use this to assert my opinions as facts, because music appreciation is, as I’ve stated before, RELATIVE by nature. I usually don’t listen to mainstream crap myself, but I’m tired of assholes thinking their opinions are more valid than other people’s. Thanks.

Music appreciation is relative by nature. Sometimes the feeling of sparsity lent to a piece by using fewer notes fits what the artist is trying to say better than intricate complexities. Kindly remember that your tastes in music are not absolute truth to the rest of society.
