This cd is over produced, and it deviates from what made Dashboard so wonderful in the first place. What’s more–these songs are all remakes off of the brilliant record, the Swiss Army Romance, which is much much better. Come on…slowed down and drums? Dashboard was Chris and his guitar. This is depressing. If this release is your favorite by Dashboard, you are not a true fan.
If you want a good EP, get the Drowning one!!!

This EP is nothing special. The packaging is very similar to his last EP. They could have changed it around a little. Why can’t he write more new songs? Isn’t there some time between touring and having 16 year old girls swoon over him. Dashboard Confessional is donating all the procedes from this cd to the terroritsts. If you support Dashboard, you support terrorism.

What happened? Chris went out and got a full band and totally butchered these great songs. I love Dashboard, but this is (to me) just plain awful. Wether it’s a live performance or not, the recording is pure [junk]. It sounds horrible, and he tries to make the songs sound completley different. The problem is is that these songs were meant to be played with one or two acoustic guitars and that’s it, no drums, bass or electrics. The whole purpose and point of Dashboard is that it’s supposed to be an intimate and stripped down sound (a voice and a guitar). I’m sure that the new songs he writes for this new Dashboard will be good, but taking old songs that weren’t meant to be played like this is just torment for those of us that love these songs (the Sharp Hint Of New Tears is my favorite Dashboard song ever). I recomend you check out all the old Dashboard material, and give the new stuff a chance, but stay away from this. This Ep was over-priced to begin with, and the low quality of the music makes it even worse. The new sound of Dashboard could be good (I don’t think it will be), but this release holds very little promise and shows nothing but a step in the wrong direction for Chris and his new “band”.
