so what if theyre christian?..are they sinning at all..men! im so tired all of this…when they heard me singing secular, they say im not suppose to…if i got an earing and a hair dye they say its wordly!….i dont know!..i think the bible did not forbid that!..im an A/G but most here in the philippines are still fundamentalist!….im searching for a donimanation that dont look on those things!..recommend me one!………but who follow jesus!

Yes, they are individualy. They don’t consider themseloves as a Christian band in the sense that their music is not meant to be listened just by Christians, rather they try write songs with whatever topic anyone would sing BUT viewed from a Scriptural perspective (i.e., if they sing about ‘love’, they will try to say what the Bible says about love).

I agree. Understanding God is way more difficult than understanding what’s being a Christian. But there r ppl who try to make Christianity even simpler than it is and go around believing you only have to minister those who have heard the message 1000 times and pointing out to bands like Switchfoot who have understood the importance of influencing ppl with God’s truth contained in His Word and represented in their songs… pointing to them just because they dont say ‘amen’… I think THAT’S sad.

@iVuHh Yeah Switchfoot isn’t a christian band they don’t consider themselves that.. and what’s wrong with Beyonce’s song? What kind of song is it? I don’t see anything bad with the lyrics and I don’t see why a christian wouldn’t listen to that KIND of song?

I’m sorry but I think you don’t understand a thing about being a Christian… Switchfoot is probably the band that gives the best testimony of a Christian life and behavior. I urge you to read some of Francis Schaeffer regarding culture and the responsabily of Christianity to influence it… Being a Christian isn’t just about preaching the Gospel to others, it’s about influencing culture so that the Gospel can have its space and RIGHT place.
