For most songs, the mp3 compression algorithm does a fine job at shrinking the file but not loosing audio information that you’ll notice. This is one of those songs that has too much information in the midrange and will have noticeable artifacting where the compression argorithm couldn’t store all the info and you can hear it. If you buy this one, you can open the file in an editor (audacity) and see the information loss (eg at 47.0, 47.4, and 47.7s you can see the blank white spots). This is noticable (to me at least) blips in the music. Had to buy the CD version so I can get an unmangled version because I love the song!
