Boring, camp, faux, pusillanimous, poncy, dull, unintelligent, predictable and foolish.

… and these are the good things I can say about this unrelentingly dull album from the world famous karaoke singer, milksop and Rat-Pack wannabe, Michael “Bubbles” Bublé. I have read that he didn’t want this album released. I have to agree. The tapes should have been left out in the sun – preferably in the Sahara desert, many kilometres from civilisation.

Oh how bad this terrible album is!

“You can fool some of the people some of the time…..”

Obviously, Bubbles’ career is doing well thanks to the fact that you can fool a lot of people.

I can’t believe I actually wasted my time listening to the entire CD ONCE. It’s time that I want back, more than the money that I want back. This CD was rush released just so Buble can earn more money in a hurry, before his 15 minutes of fame are up. Furthermore, he’s releasing another CD this month (November) for his Xmas album, combined with his first self-titled, so called “limited edition” album so he can generate even more revenue. Limited edition. Add a few songs and the text “Limited edition” and you get more $$$. What a novel concept. Wait, it gets better. He will also release the Xmas album in December, for those who “can wait” and therefore, can purchase the Xmas album without spending the extra cash on his first self-titled album, albeit in a “limited edition” form. I do admit that his first album is alright, but with this “Totally Buble” album and his upcoming albums, I think Buble is taking his fans for a ride and are underestimating the intelligence of them. Come on Buble, wait till you produce something decent before you churn out more of this kind of junk, just so you can build to your bank account. I think they should rename the CD “Totally Over-rated.” This would perfectly capture the theme of the man and his music. Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to give 0 stars!!!

I have Michael’s previous, self-titled CD, and I love it. He has a terrific voice, and his arrangements are great. This CD is very short (as another reviewer already pointed out), and the bonus tracks don’t play on any of my normal, cd-listening equipment. If they play on my PC, fine, but I don’t listen to music while sitting at my PC. Honestly, I can’t say that I cared for the music on this CD, either. The swingin’ tunes on his first CD have been replaced by psuedo, big-band sounds this time around. None of the tracks are very memorable.

I’m so unhappy with the disc that I’m going to try to return it, especially since I can’t listen to 1/3 of the tracks. The jewel case includes a disclaimer telling you that “the enhanced cd tracks may not play on your machine, blah, blah” but that shouldn’t be seen as a defect. Well, none of the sites selling this disc, including Amazon.com, put that disclaimer out for you to see. You just pay your money and get ripped off. Amazon.com even lists the tracks as though they’re all the same type, when they’re not.

So, basically, I’d say shame on Michael for ripping off your fans with such a short CD, and shame on vendors like Amazon.com for not including the “enhanced CD” disclaimer in the item description. With products like this out there, no wonder file swapping is such a big problem for record companies.

I bought this CD because Michael’s first CD is great. This one only has 7 cuts with 3 so-called bonus songs. My normal equipment won’t allow me to hear the “bonus” ones. He has a nice voice, but I wish I hadn’t bought this one.
