@Aadam711 The “super fun party jam” thing I assume you’re referring to is “Can’t Stop Partying”. Besides the fact that you’re missing the point of that song (it’s pretty elementary, and incorrect, to take it for face value), the rest of Raditude is also not about the “super fun party jam” thing! Unless you want to extend that to like…”Let it All Hang Out”, but that song rules.

@Qriztofer My Brain Is Working Overtime, Chess, or Lover in the snow for example have nothing to do with the “super fun party jam” thing… that’s what i meant.

@doomey22a “Turd burger songS”. You gave me one example (that isn’t a very good one, if we’re talking about “synth”. Hate Make Believe if you hate “synth”, though I love that album). You clearly don’t see the tongue-in-cheek of “Can’t Stop Partying”.
Ugh. The guitar on Raditude is the same we’ve been getting from them since Green (in terms of TONE. “Crunch” is DESIRABLE for a band like Weezer), which is when they started recording in a decent studio. Ric Ocasek produced both.

@Aadam711 I can’t believe this. Do you know where those songs actually come from? Half of Alone he wrote before the Blue Album, a few are from SftBH (I’ll assume you know what that is), and almost all the rest are just songs that didn’t end up on other Weezer albums. And three songs on Alone II were later released on Raditude! Basically, those albums are like…the best of Weezer b-sides.
Dude. Fail.

@Qriztofer If you listen to Alone or Alone II you’ll realize that what Rivers does/wants to do isn’t always quite what you can find on Raditude…

@Qriztofer Sorry that should have said “crunchy”

@Qriztofer There’s a difference between plastic “crunchu” guitar and actual good well thought out and skillfully played guitar. And yes I did listen to Raditude; other than one or two songs its crap compared to the good classic stuff. When I say “over board with synth” I mean turd burger songs like “Can’t stop partying”. I mean, that song sounds like it should have been sung by Kei$ha! Rivers is good yes, but he s sold out his old fans and his sound

@doomey22a Wow, WOW. PLEASE give me an example of a “crappy pop band” out there that sounds like Weezer does now. And what are you talking about, overboard on the synth? Did you…listen to Raditude? It’s crunchy guitar all over. PLEASE listen to “Let it All Hang Out”.
Weezer got really big, and with that success came a huge lifestyle change, and with that change came big changes in the music. It’s what you have to expect. Rivers is clearly the man- let him do what he wants.

@MehdiGlz Raditude is absolute crap. I’m sorry but thats all it is. They sold out and just became another crappy pop band who go overboard on the synth and studio engeneiring.
