I learned a lot that night, ha.

Kanye has no sense.

Beyonce is the bomb.

Taylor is still as innocent as a bunny.

my honest opinion is i dont give a f***. i dont even know these people so why should i care. who watches tv these days? i would’ve never heard of taylor swift if it wasn’t for this, so it was kind of a good thing for her.

i think that was rude to diss taylor and say the other nominee was better right in front of her face

Classless ! ! ! ! ! I was a huge Kanye fan . . . His first album was amazing, I still put it in the rotation every once in a while. . . Since then his arrogance has gotten out of control ! He now annoys me . . . His music is not as good as it was . . . he is now more hype than substance . . . He has lost a lot of my respect

its not about who was better, its about the rudeness. i’m sure someone in his life probably taught him some manners. why he didn’t use them i am not sure. instead of going up on stage he should have blogged about or something. its just plain rude to interrupt someone while they are talking. its just common sense

i love taylor swift. kanye shouldve kept his opinion to himself. taylor looked like she was going to cry after he did that. that was just really stupid.

what a joke he is. He goes on Jay Lenno saying he would like to apologize yet he has made no effort to get intouch with her, he tries to blame his actions on his mothers death? My mom died didnt make me an asshole. That pitiful answer given by someone who responded it was about race its because Kanye is black…oh please maybe it is about race would Kanye have done that to a black woman? Only wish it had of been pink he did it to then he could have left the stage physically ball less like he acted.

I think he acted extremely immaturely and showed how little class he has (which I had always thought anyway) in comparison with Taylor who held her composure and didn’t wallop him in the head with the award…which I probably would have done as I am Italian and have a bit of a temper and hate being interrupted.

I don’t care who you are or what position in the world you hold, keeping your opinions to yourself when they could hurt someone else makes you a better person than anyone else. Just because you’re a celebrity doesn’t give you the right to say whatever you please whenever you please. Kanye blabbing about his admiration of Beyonce was distasteful and out of place. He should have saved it for his blog or not said it at all.

Seriously how long are people going to keep playing the race card? Disliking what Kanye did isn’t about race. It’s about handling a situation with class, dignity, respect, and grace. Black or not, Kanye proved he couldn’t do that.

i think that it was really rude for kanye to do that. she’s 17 years old and that was her first VMA award ever. her moment was ruined and she’s never ever going to get it back. i think kanye had some alcohol in him and for whatever reason he wanted to try and steal her spotlight. but he made an ass out of himself cause beyonce won the video of the year award later on. very immature.

I’m not a Taylor Swift fan but I think Kanye’s an ass for what he did. She won, fair and square. He didn’t have to rain on her parade.

Kanye was wrong for what he did…True but on the other hand she wasn’t the best in that category and some would say beyonce was cheated but who cares because beyonce has won hundreds of those things and she is on a way higher level than taylor swift…..you can give me thumbs down but that’s my opinion. Its not a black thing….it’s not a white thing…..it’s about the right thing….

The answer to your question is very simple: He’s conceited. It may not be his fault that he became this way, but I wish he’s a bigger man. He’s talented alright, but so are a lot of other people. I feel that he’s seeking attention, and credit to EVERYthing that he’s ever done or achieved. I feel he really wants to be looked up to as being self- made. I feel he probably felt a lot of injustice before, and now that he’s somehow in the pinnacle of his career, he wants to show people what he is now, and will no way accept any more injustice. But of course, the question is, is there really any injustice being done, or is he just being paranoid. I think it’s the latter. This is probably why alot of people or artists seem to be cocky when they become successful later in their life. Hence, the Kingship conception of oneself. I have great respect for people who instead of becoming cocky, remains modest and gracious. It shows that they have a STRONG personality and will no way be easily influenced by anyone or anything. He clearly acted on impulse, and I don’t think the reason is that he’s inebriated, he’s always been this way. I hate to say this, but in the case of West, he’s convinced that race is an issue, since before he expressed the presence of impartiality against his own race. Doesn’t he notice that alot of African american are very successful in the music industry, a trend even, at one point dominated all of the videos on MTV, so I really don’t understand what angle he’s seeing. He really lacks maturity, and REAL RESPECT for other people’s achievement or talent. It’s easy to say that one respects another, but it’s another thing to TRULY respect and accept other people. I wish people will just stop being cocky and be mature, life will be a lot better.

Kanye West needs to get rid of his ‘better-than-thou’ attitude. It was not his place to ruin her moment like that, and that was the last straw for me with him. I can’t stand to watch someone be that arrogant and egotistical anymore. It is disgusting.

Beyonce really deserves credit for being so classy and sweet when she asked Taylor to come onstage during her award acceptance. My opinion of HER just went up a few notches.

Taylor Swift has shown so much class in the matter. Here is her response to the events of last night:

“Well, I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award. And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn’t so excited anymore after that.” ”

While her friends and colleagues share a support for her and a distaste of Kanye, she herself harbors no ill-will:

“I don’t know him, and I’ve never met him, so… I don’t want to start anything because I had a great night tonight.”

Kanye west is a racist piece of crap. If Swift was a black person he would not have done that. That was my lesson.

Like someone once said “There’s a time and a place for everything”
Kanye should have chosen a different place and time to voice
his opinion. Taylor is just a young girl. Her innocence is now tainted!

I think he shouldn’t have said that plus Taylor swift never did or said anything mean to him. If I was Kanye I would of used common sense like how would that feel if that happened to me and since he said he liked beyonce better he should have kept that to him self and shouldn’t have said anything- I think he should apologize to Taylor swift or do something nice for her- that made me want to cry because Taylor Swift is so sweet and she didn’t even do anything to him- If I were Taylor I’d be embarrassed that Kanye said that to her especially cuz Taylor was acting normal and didn’t do anything wrong- I think Kanye should have learned a big lesson even other people who have done something like this- before should have learned a lesson- good job for acting normal Taylor!! Also thanks for Beyonce to being so nice and sweet to Taylor Swift- it’s always good to be nice to people and help them even if their not your friend

He should do it again.

Taylor Swift has no musical abilities whatsoever. Kanye did the right thing at the wrong time. Taylor says she’s country, but all she does is make to version of one song. In “You belong with me” the difference between the country version is a banjo playing the same note at the same pace; a 2nd grader can do that. She can take the income and ratings from two genres with NO EFFORT. She is a phony. Miley Cyrus can write better than that B*tch (and I hate Miley Cyrus). Step back from the awards and sh*t and look at “The Climb” and “You Belong with me.” Besides “me,” “maybe,” and “see,” there is NO I repeat NO other true rhymes in the entire piece of sh*t she calls a “song.” In the first verse/bridge of “The Climb” there are 5 “-ing” rhymes. GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I’m exaggerating, but that is a big step up from three -ee rhymes) Even though this sounds stupid, good songs usually rhyme–this is just one detail. The music video was retarded. RETARDED. RE- F*CKING-TARDED. She plays the cheerleading b*tch and the loser. She is f*cking britney spears, but she is half-immune to the fickle pop genre; she says she is country to never expire. Now, let’s compare her career to someone she is predicted to mimic; Shania Twain in her later years. She became a country singer and, JUST to get more money, she came out with a “green” and “red” album; she used her country popularity to launch her pop career, made some “red” albums and fizzled out. She sold her talents out and ran out of them. This will be Taylor. Kanye simply superseded everyone who actually pays attention to Taylor’s songs and said the right thing, but the amount of half-intelligent people who listen to her music was apparently too high, and he had to interrupt her speech. The only thing Kanye did wrong was interrupt her speech. Kanye could have interrupted her speech and say “I agree, you are the best” and he would still be chastised for interrupting the acceptance speech.

Kanye was just voicing his opinion. He believed that Beyonce’s video was better than Taylor Swift’s. And if you watched the rest of the VMA’s you would’ve seen that Beyonce did make it up to Taylor when she had won Video of the year. What Kanye did was wrong yes, and he could’ve done what he did differently. but it already happened so just get over it. Everyone is making a much bigger deal than it needs to be.

I have been hating on kanye for the last two days but He didn’t kill anyone and Taylor accepted his apology. The guy has serious issues and this is good for him. He is going to comeback more modest and respected …3 years from now

Okayy,

For Kanye to have been very disrespectful, being the artist that he is is so UNprofessional.

Whether she deserved it or not (WHICH SHE TOTALLY DID) he should not have done that.

But do NOT talk about him because he flips out and goes crazy, yet he does the worst thing an artist as big as him can do.

I thought Kanye was totally rude, disrespectful and a concieted jerk for what he did to Taylot Swift, I really like Taylor Swift alot and I’ve felt so bad for what happened to her

musicpanther67

January 1st, 2010 at 1:17 am

I think Kanye is a attention freak. I felt bad for Taylor. It took Kanye a couple days to apologize and I think that’s pretty bad too. And poor Taylor was up there crying and then had to go and preform. I think Ms. Knowles is an amazingly sweet person. She didn’t have to do that for Taylor. Very nice.

Just to add: Taylor is actually 19 not 17 like someone else answered. Kanye apologized to Taylor after her appearance on the Veiw. It was private though, which is good. That shows Taylor doesn’t want to get more publicity for it.

I never like that guy. But really had no reason to, either,
Now, I can see that he is terrible person. He ruins the ceremony for the young woman. Just Imagine if you were claiming your first award and some guy would take the mic from you. It’s just low life. Kanye has lost all respect from me. EVER.

I think that Kanye was stupid that night, but he has since made up for it by apologizing. He seems very genuine in his apology on Jay Leno. If you missed it, you can watch it here: http://h3rs.com/kanye-aplogizes-to-taylor-swift-for-vma-incident/

While I believe that his opinion was accurate, (even Taylor didn’t think she would measure up to the other nominees clearly by the expression on her face when she won) His actions was by far wrong wrong wrong wrong. It was not her fault she won. He shouldve taken that up with the MTV execs or whoever does the voting process instead of humiliating that poor baby on stage. When she wins something again (and she will because she is really talented) she’s probably gonna be packing heat.

i thought that kanye was being a total jackass i mean, taylor swift is 17 and shes winning her first vma award and he HAD to ruin it for her. its not like kanye has been a douchebag before though. i just dont think thats right. im glad beyonce made it right later on though

I still can’t believe what Kanye did, it was so rude, it was her moment and he just took the microphone from her. Very disrespectful. I wanted to share with you a really funny game, that has Taylor’s back and you can kick Kanye off the stage:

Wolfe

January 1st, 2010 at 3:44 am

Stupid, honestly. Yeah he was tipsy and spouted out what he thought without really thinking it through, but god damn give the guy a break. Elvis Costello called James Brown a “jive-ass nigger” and Ray Charles a “blind, ignorant nigger” and he got off easy just because he claimed that “he was drunk and wanted to say something obnoxious”. People should stop making it look like he raped Swift on stage and beat the shit out of her. He already feels horrible about it and is on suicide watch. American media cares too much about the most irrelevant things it sickens me. Kanye West apologizes for everything he does yet people still have to beat a dead horse by criticizing him instead of helping him like he so desperately needs. His mom’s death obviously took a huge toll on him mentally. Stop tearing him apart and just leave the guy alone, there’s more important things to rage about in the US than a rapper mildly discouraging some pop country singer. She was already crying from receiving the award (Who the hell dreams of getting an MTV award anyways? You’re not great, Taylor, but you can aim a lot higher.) so I don’t know why people make it seem like she was traumatized from the incident. He apologized, move on with your lives, which you really need to rethink if you get so upset over such a trivial matter with people whose lives you don’t affect in any way whatsoever.

Disrespectful and rude, ruinning a moment of a 19 year old girl in front of a crowd. Does he know that the videos won are won by majority of votes from those who vote and not by votes of some professionals.

Kanye is an idiot! This isn’t the first time he’s done something like this and I’m sure it won’t be the last. I don’t think he should be invited to awards show anymore!

January 1st, 2010 at 4:44 am

I agree with Kanyes opinion – beyonce’s film clip rocked!!! (but that’s just my opinion). However in saying this, I disagree with Kanye’s approach to expressing his opinion. I’m sure that most people have done something they have been ashamed of when they’ve had a little too much to drink or what ever else -he was wearing sunnies wasn’t he??? I think this is a big wake up call for Kanye. A little to much power and a little to much free range means he has to learn the hard way to control himself in such a public setting. All that aside, i still think Kanye is a musical genius and most musical genius’s have their fair share of controversy’s, don’t they?

aizawasuki

kanye should feel ashamed of himself coz he just insulted a girl in public. when he apolagised, he didn’t mean it coz i bet his mother forced him to.

even though it wasn’t taylor’s fault, she did suffer a modicum of humiliation….for instance, everyone sees her as……………..human. And many people alike…..pity what happened to her. is just too sad to have happened to ANYONE. It’s one of those things. A sad, isolated event.

and even though it’s probably better to be pitied (poor Taylor) than hated (devil Kanye). you never really want to be pitied (or do you?). You want to be seen as strong–that you can defend yourself when stuff happens. Society at large has come to her with open arms–she has been undoubtedly fortunate. But it makes me wonder, if she ever slips up and does something diva-like, then people may begin to justify what happened to. her….and become less……..sympathetic.

i think kanye needs to go on that bully beatdown show with the mma fighters. what a dick, i feel so bad for taylor, if i was her at that moment i don’t know what i would have done either, poor girl. i really respect what beyonce did when she called taylor back up when she got the best video of the year award. that was pretty amazing. and i also love the fact that the president of the US, mr. obama, called him a jack ass.

I think that what kanye did was rude. When he did it I didn’t think anything of it because I was so furious that she won that I was relieved for her to stop speaking, but thinking back it was a douchy move. However, I do agree that beyonce’s video was better. No offense to taylor swift lovers, I just am not a fan of her music and I didn’t like her video.

no doubt about it, kanye west is an idiot, if that comment he made back in 2005 after hurricane katrina happened wasn’t enough, now he had to ruin taylor swift’s speech, WHAT A MORON!!!!

I think that Kanye West shouldn’t have interrupted her speech and started saying that Beyonce should have won the award and not Taylor. But I feel sorry for Kanye because I think he feels really bad about it and all this hatred must be crushing him.
