What should a 50 year old mom wear to a Bon Jovi Concert that she is taking her 15 year old son to?
For my son’s 15th birthday I surprised him with tickets to fly to NJ from OH to see Bon Jovi, These are VIP Tickets which puts us onstage during 3 songs. At 50, I don’t have the body I did as a teenager, but wear no more than a size 6 or 8 depending on the cut. What can I wear that will be trendy, but will not make me look like I am trying to compete with the “kids” and something that won’t embarrass my son. I don’t want to look like a frumpy mom….lol!! Thanks!

I think jeans and a nice shirt would do! That’s an awesome gift! We surprised our daughter with tickets to Motley Crue last year for her 6th birthday and she loved it! They are her favorite band!

Try jeans and a nice top. Don’t make either piece overly trendy. Keep it simplistic.
Have Fun!!

This is your son’s special thing, and without meaning to be in any way rude, discretion is the key. Be as neutral and plain as you can.

-a dark wash straight leg.(not skinny)
-a flow-y tunic in black. (bananna republic)
-a gray beret(the hat)(gray is huge this season)
-some original vintage pearls(not the chunky colored ones)
with pearl studed earings. very classy yet way stylish.
-a big ring.
goodluck and have fun!

jeans and a rocker tshirt. or just a bon jovi tshirt you get from the concert. =) don’t wear a skirt that’s too short..and if you do, make sure it’s at the knee, like a pencil skirt..nothing shorter or longer. i’m a teenager and recently went to a fray concert…i just wore what i usually wear. nothing special.

You can never go wrong with a nice fitting pair or jeans ( not tight, a average fit) a nice shirt ( like a cami under a nice button shirt..a layered look) with some cute sandals or tennis. You should dress to have fun, to be comfortable and to dance.!! Have fun and by the way..You are a COOL Mom to do such a nice thing for your son….

Jeans and a shirt would be fine. Just remember that the most important thing in clothing is comfort. If that makes other people think you’re competing with the kids then let them be. You don’t owe any explanation to them. But in a Bon Jovi concert, I doubt that people would pay attention to you, even if you are onstage during three songs. Fans would naturally focus their attention on Bon Jovi. And wild they would become! Remember, it’s not a Pavarotti concert. Comfy clothes honey. Enjoy!

I think that a jeans and a Bon Jovi T-shirt will do. Depend on the weather like there…
